The target audience for these summmaries are those people who haven't seen it all, but are so hooked they have-to-have-it-all-NOW. You know who you are. Don't mind my dry sarcasm, and I'll try to keep my personal comments separate.
Please note that more often than not, all 'quotes' are paraphrases- not exact quotes.
Kurtz, Sousuke, Kaname, and Tessa have gotten to the stolen truck- and Kurz jumps it out past the vehicles now massed on the pier...
Tessa moans about Kalinin, Kurtz shows his usual style humor in reassuring her as the truck slides and bangs to a halt...
Kaname pushes Sousuke over so she can see out the window- the Army has shown up in their helicopters and type 96 Arm-Slaves.
They are currently targeting the huge hand holding the Melissa's M9- Takuma sees them and raises it even higher.
Tessa's gotten ahold of a comm unit, and hears Melissa's exclaimations-
Kurtz and Tessa jump out of the truck shocked...
Melissa's stuck, and can't do anything to save herself...
The hand has the M9 sideways and suddenly squeezes it in half...
Tessa watches in horror as the remains fall into the sea...
The Behemoth rises from the ruined freighter, and steps up on land. It crushes the cop vehicles with one footstep...
The Army vehicles fire... but the tanks, the choppers, the Arm-Slaves can't affect it...
Takuma has initiated a Lambda Driver shield- and nothing can touch it.
Sousuke and Kaname watch the Lambda Driver in action...
Takuma goes on the offensive, and shoots the Army equipment with a huge rain of rapid fire...
TUrning, he sees Tessa watching. He thinks that yes, he really does like her.
Tessa is regretting- if only she had let Takuma be killed when she had the chance... The Behemoth wouldn't be started, and...Kalanin... Melissa...
Takuma decides that if he can't have Tessa...noone can...
The others have been conferring, and know they have to get moving. The truck has stalled, so Kurtz, Sousuke, and Kaname push the truck til it starts...
Kurtz jumps in the bed and tells Sousuke to drive...
As they take off the Behemoth follows.
Takuma shoots at them and cracks glass...Tessa's terrified and has a bad moment.
When her mind and vision clear, Kaname and Sousuke are trying to break out the cracked windshield so they can see, and Sousuke's demanding some orders.
Takuma's going off on an ego trip- confident noone can stop him....he seems truly evil.
He shoots after the truck, which barely evades it, and laughs terribly.
From the Danaan, Maliuvas contacts Tessa on the comm unit, relieved she's (sort of) safe.
The Danaan is currently too far for the usual rescue procedure- Sousuke tells her to have them missile the Arbalest- Tessa yells back that there's no time because it would take at least an hour for the Danaan crew to prepare it for launch. The Behemoth can do too much damange in that time!
tPoor Tessa stresses...theres nothing she can do....Maluvasis asks her if she neess the Arbalest.
She says yes, knowing there's no way....
He tells her they can launch it within 3 minutes. Since it was an emergency situation, with both Tessa and Kalinin gone, he had them prepare it for launch just in case. It can reach them 9 minutes...
He then apologizes for acting without her orders...but Tessa is very happy.
But now she needs to pick a landing place where, when coming down, the Behemoth can't just shoot it down. Someplace without risk of causing danger to civilians...
She picks a waterside watchtower (or something that looks like it, heck, what is it anyway?)...
The truck just barely slides around a corner still evading the Behemoth's deadly fire...
Unlike Melissa, Takuma crashes through highway signs without a concern...
Kurtz has figured out how to tell when it will shoot, and tells Sousuke just in time...
But Sousuke says the they can't go that much farther...
Kurtz tells him instead to drive so he can set up a shot...
Kaname wants to know what's going on and watches as Kurtz takes his careful aim...
He sees his chosen target, and initates an explosion on the side of the Behemoth which upsets it's weapons.
Kaname praises him on his incredible shot (and here I thought you were a big mouth weakling! she says)
The Behemoth isn't disabled however...and still follows...
Seina crawls out of the water and lands with a plop- blood runs from her body liberally.
Nearby her lays Kalinin- she's dragged him to safety. He turns to look at her....seems she didn't shoot him back then, and was injured herself...
He slides down to her and rests her head in his lap...
She asks if the Behemoth was activated- Kalinin tells her yes. No matter, she says, its impossible to destroy. It will run for 40 hours, able to destroy the whole time.
It rests on Takuma now, Kalinin tells her. She says Takuma's memory is wrong- he thinks he killed her, but in fact, she had used him...she regrets.
Senia wants to know if Kalinin wonders why she didn't kill him then, and he tells her he thinks he already knows. She doesn't care for people who think they know her that well, and he apologizes. She says she hates him, but takes his hand and asks his name.
Andre Serenovitch Kalinin
She dies as he holds her.
He's still holding her when Melissa drags herself out of the water cursing and muttering- she's alright. She stops hwen she sees Kalinin- asks a friend? His assent is guarded.
Back at the truck-
Kurtz is cheerfully urging Sousuke to drive faster, Sousuke bluntly tells him that if he's got time to talk he's got time to take another shot.
But really Kurtz can't, when Sousuke has to drive evasuively...
Sousuke and Kaname notice the Mithril transport missile drifting down... Sousuke swears about how visible it is.
Predictably, the Behemoth shoots it down- it falls into the watchtower through the glass ceiling. Tessa says it should be alright, the unit isn't that easily harmed.
She doesn't have to clarify her orders- Sousuke already knows...
Right before jumping out, he orders Kaname to drive, which freaks Kaname out, since she's never driven before! But she gets around Tessa (who's helpless) and nervously takes the wheel...
Kaname gets how she gets, stubborn, and presses on the gas...
Sousuke has a problem- the release lever for the capsule is against the floor. He can't open it...
Kurtz shrieks- Sousuke can't crack the egg's shell??? (this looks like a reference to Shoujo Kakumei Utena, which made liberal use of that phrase.)
Kurtz does some amusing and creative swearing at Sousuke- who desicdes to give his last grenade a try. He's placed it against the capsule, but the blast isnt enough to tilt it...
The truck is approaching the building, and Sousuke sees that the Behemoths footsteps are beginning to rock the capsule...
Kurtz tells Kaname to just crash through the building's wall, and she does...
Inside Kaname sees Tessa's passed out, but she can't give too much thought to it as she begins to feel....*that*.
She comes back to reality to see Kurtz lifting up Tessa...they have to get moving.
They leave the truck (which is pretty dang banged up, for something 'borrowed'), and the Behemoth raises the roof...
Takuma's getting a warning from his AS- a disruption in mental flow...
He has to concentrate better- and asks Kaname and Kurtz where Sousuke is.
As Takuma targets her, Kaname shouts that she doesn't know, maybe Takuma should ask his sister...
But right before he can shoot her, a shot hits the Behemoth- it's Sousuke in the Arbalest, standing on top of a building, aiming...
He tells Takuma that playing with his prey is a pretty weak thing to do, and says that he'll deal with Takuma, and gestures him 'come on'...
Takuma is only pleased, and crashes the Behemoth through the walls of the building as Kaname and Kurtz run out of the way...
Sousuke fires at the Behemoth, but none go through...the huge thing reaches a hand for the ARX, but it dodges and tosses a bomb...which also does nothing...then the ARX crashes through the roof in front of Kaname and Kurtz...
but now Kaname's feeling *it* again...
The Behemoth leans in and shoots through the roof...
Suddenly Kaname is cold, and all too aware of the Lambda Drivers- and of Tessa's voice.
Tessa tells Kaname to tell Sousuke to destroy a cooling unit on the Behemoth...
Looking over, Kaname sees Tessa is still unconcious in Kurtz's arms...
Sousuke tries to get a plan from AL, but AL is as much help as it was before...
The Behemoth is now bashing in the roof with is long AS sword- and the ARX jumps free of the building..and again, his shots hit nothing.
The ARX takes a some minor damage, and it's becoming clear that there isn't much Sousuke can do with it against the Behemoth.
Then, Kaname on the comm unit- she tells him what and where to target but ...she isnt entirely sure...
Also, he'll have to start up the LD... and she still sounds unsure, which bothers Sousuke somewhat. He wants to know if they are Tessa's orders. "Um...sort of..' is the best Kaname has to offer.
The Behemoth starts shooting at Kaname, and Sousuke runs in towards it- and tries to concentrate on believing his shot will go through and hit the right place...it's some work, but the ARX slides in and makes it....
It's reaction is initally subtle, but Takuma is informed that the LD has been disabled. The AS's articifal intelligence system informs him the Behemoth will now collapse...and so it does.
The Behemoth wasn't designed to operate and move without the aid of the LD, and gravity is just too much for it. Tessa regains conciousness in time to see it fall....
When the dust settles...
They've found Takuma who's injured and depressed, and Tessa tries to comfort him. He's so out of it he eventually mistakes her for his sister, and she lets him believe that as he dies.
Later by the water- Tessa is thanking Kurtz for a good job- then it's Sousuke's turn. He's still in the ARX, which is now his, according to Tessa.
And she says she espically has to thank Kaname. Kaname says that's fine, but she just wants to know some things...but Tessa says that will have to wait for now.
But for now she does have something she wants to say to Kaname...
She asks Sousuke to turn off all of the ARX's external sensors.
Curious, but he complies...
Tessa then tells Kaname she thinks she's fallen in love with Sousuke.
Kaname's speechless, while Kurtz goes off in cheerful ranting and raving...
And as the dawn breaks Tessa wishes them both good luck.
